Head of Legal at Teamtailor

We are now looking for a Head of Legal who wants to take full responsibility for the company’s legal matters – and at the same time be a key player in our continued global expansion.

Teamtailor is one of Sweden’s fastest-growing SaaS companies with a clear goal: to change the way companies attract and hire talent. We are in a strong growth phase, where new markets, more complex business models, and increased regulatory demands place new requirements on our legal capabilities.

What we offer you

As Head of Legal at Teamtailor, you will take on a key role at one of Sweden’s most expansive tech companies, where legal is seen as a strategically important function enabling continued growth. You will be a central part of the organization – a business-oriented partner with the mandate to influence, build, and develop. The role combines operational presence with long-term responsibility for establishing a scalable, internationally viable legal function in a company rapidly growing in both business and complexity.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to shape structures, processes, and teams – while working hands-on at the heart of the business. You’ll enter at a stage where much is already in place, but there’s still plenty of room to continue building.

This is a role for someone who wants to combine legal depth with strategic impact, in a culture characterized by trust, engagement, and a strong desire to improve every day. You’ll help build something lasting – not only for the legal function but for the entire company. And you’ll do it in an environment where what you do truly matters – every single day.

About the role

As Head of Legal, you will have overall responsibility for Teamtailor’s legal matters globally.
You will lead a small team and work broadly across the company – from contracts to strategic initiatives. A large part of the role involves responsibility for commercial agreements, primarily SaaS customer agreements and supplier contracts, where you will negotiate, review, and support the sales organization in business dialogues.

You will also handle important corporate law matters – such as stock option programs, incentive structures, and formalities related to our international corporate structure. The role involves being engaged in both strategic and operational issues, where your flexibility and business understanding make a difference in day-to-day operations.

You will regularly collaborate on matters related to GDPR and AI-related legal issues, especially at the intersection of product and commercial agreements. While you don’t need to be an expert, a solid understanding of the legal landscapes shaping the future of technology is required.

Teamtailor operates in multiple countries and handles the majority of its legal work internally. This means you need to be confident managing international matters independently and able to determine when and how to use external advisors.

About you

We’re looking for someone who combines legal expertise with strong business acumen and who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.

You hold a law degree and have at least ten years of experience in business law, preferably from both a law firm and in-house, with a particular focus on commercial agreements. You are confident in independently handling complex negotiations, corporate law, and navigating the fast-paced daily life of a growth company.

You are humble, solution-oriented, and used to working closely with the business. You have a pragmatic approach and are comfortable making business-oriented decisions in a dynamic environment with high pace and short decision paths.

You enjoy responsibility, take initiative, and naturally bring structure where it’s needed – without losing momentum. You’re also a team player who sees legal as an enabler.

Experience from international operations and/or tech companies, as well as previous leadership responsibility, is meritorious. But most important is that you have drive, sharpness, and an ability to build for the future – while getting things done here and now.
