We are now looking for a Legal Counsel, focused on Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and other offtake agreements, to join our Legal and Compliance team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will have a key role and take on the responsibility of delivering high-quality legal support, with a strong emphasis on Power Purchase Agreements and other offtake arrangements in our onshore and offshore wind projects, photovoltaic (PV) projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice, guidance and support across various functions and geographies within OX2
- Drafting, negotiating, executing and administrating agreements and documents
- Managing external legal counsel, ensuring the effective contribution to OX2’s business and legal objectives
- Contributing, as a member of the OX2 Legal and Compliance team, with legal work on Group common issues and projects.
- Improving internal know-how, tools and ways of working across the organization.
You will be part of the OX2 global Legal and Compliance team reporting to the General Counsel with dotted line to VP Investments. The position is located in Stockholm, Sweden, with flexibility for remote work. Occasional travel is expected.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, you should hold a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from a top-tier academic institution and be admitted to practice law in Sweden. You bring 8–10 years of qualified legal experience, having worked both at a reputable law firm and within larger corporations. A solid background in drafting and negotiating power production offtake agreements is essential.
You are solution oriented and thrive in a fast paced, complex environment. Your ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is key, as is your capacity to understand stakeholder needs and take full ownership of your responsibilities. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of not only Nordics but also Polish, Romanian or Italian offtake markets is a significant advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also expected.
