Tax Director to Electrolux Professional Group

We are seeking a Tax Director to lead our global tax strategy, compliance, and governance at one of the leading global providers of food service, beverage, and laundry equipment for professional users. In this recruitment we are supported by Sharp Recruitment & Consultants.

Electrolux Professional Group is now looking for a Tax Director to join our Group Functions at the headquarter in Stockholm.

About the role

You will be the go-to person for all tax matters in the Group and as the role of Tax Director is very broad, it is important that you are comfortable with being a key player and also that you are curious to develop your tax competence, as needed. You are solution oriented and proactive with a strong commercial and financial mindset. Your ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is key, as is your capacity to understand stakeholder needs.

As Tax Director, you will work both on a strategic and operational hands-on level. The main purpose of the role is to support the business whilst ensuring compliance with laws and regulations throughout the Group.

There is a strong focus on transfer pricing, but the role also includes responsibility for tax controlling and contact with external auditors. It also includes indirect taxes and you are expected to lead M&A projects from a tax perspective.

You are the owner of the Group transfer pricing policy and the Group tax policy. Furthermore, the role includes dealings with tax authorities and managing external tax advisors. You will be responsible for the Group’s legal structure and for the corporate income tax return for the Swedish parent company. Other key areas include CbCR reporting and compliance with regulations such as Pillar 2 and DAC6. Interpretation and communication of updates in the tax area will also be a part of your responsibilities.

You will represent the Group in various forums e.g. the Confederation of Swedish enterprises.

About you

To succeed in this role, we believe you possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • A master/bachelor’s degree in finance or law
  • A minimum of seven years of experience working with tax matters at a multinational company and/or at a Big4-firm
  • Extensive experience in transfer pricing and preferably tax controlling
  • As the role is an individual contributor role, you must like being hands-on
  • Ability to solve unstructured tax problems and lead multiple priorities with little day-to-day direction
  • Ability to explain complex tax issues in a way that non-tax professionals can understand, enabling better decision-making across the organization
  • Knowledge and experience of participating in negotiations or dealings with tax authorities is recommended

You communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
