Purchasing is a top priority at NCC, playing a key role in securing long-term success and delivering profitable projects. We are now looking for a Head of Purchasing Legal & Risk Management to join our Group Purchasing function.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to take full ownership of legal and risk management within Group Purchasing, ensuring that our purchasing processes are ethically sound, legally compliant and aligned with NCC’s long term goals. You will proactively manage supplier related risks, including contractual, legal, compliance and sustainability aspects on group level, as well as develop frameworks and routines that create sustainable value for NCC.
This is a senior and high impact role with strategic focus and the opportunity to shape the way NCC manages legal and ethical responsibilities in one of its core operational areas. You will be responsible for providing proactive legal support to the business and for acting as a trusted business partner. You are expected to serve as a role model in ethics, compliance and risk management. In addition, you will ensure proactive support and take responsibility for the day-to-day administrative management and implementation of NCC’s Compliance Program. This includes overseeing NCC’s supply chain control and due diligence policy, with a particular focus on defined risk areas including anti-corruption, human rights and sanctions.
Main assignments include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the business and purchasing leadership.
- Supporting negotiations and reviewing major contracts.
- Driving strategic change as a member of the Purchasing Management Team (PMT).
- Leading the function’s budget and providing functional guidance to legal advisors.
- Leading the implementation and ongoing development of legal governance, compliance policies and sustainability frameworks in purchasing.
- Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, NCC’s Code of Conduct and internal policies.
- Identifying, assessing and reporting compliance risks and facilitating best practice sharing across teams.
- Independently handling and reporting whistleblower matters in accordance with internal protocols.
You will be reporting to the Head of Group Purchasing & Chief Procurement Officer and be the manager of one specialist in purchasing risk and compliance. In addition, you will have a functional reporting line to the Group Head of Legal & Risk and be a member of the Group Legal Management Team.

You are a confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration and understands how to turn complex regulations into practical solutions that support business objectives.
Required qualifications:
- Master of Laws (LL.M. or equivalent)
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in legal and purchasing roles within large organizations
- Strong knowledge of commercial law, supplier agreements, and business ethics
- Experience working with compliance and governance frameworks
- A professional, open, curious and collaborative attitude with strong personal drive
